ingredients :
1-red lentils (al ahlam)
2-olive oil (al ahlam)
3- onion
4- cumin( al ahlam)
5- salt and black pepper
Preparation Method:
1- wash the lentils thoroughly with cold water and drain
2- in a deep pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat
3- add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-5 minutes until softened
4- add the washed lentils to the pot and stir for one minute. then add salt, black pepper , and cumin to taste.
5- bring the soup to a boil , then reduce the heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes. once cooked blend the soup with an immersion blender until smooth
6- serve hot with toasted bread
